Meet The Team

Lamya Al Kiyumi is the founder of Generation Now, a boutique education consultancy based in Muscat, Oman.  Lamya has spent the past six years heavily involved in the world of education as Chair of the Board of Directors of ABA Oman International School and more recently as an Advisor to the Board. Lamya is passionate about education and has been advising students on their university applications to institutions in the UK, USA and Europe and has turned that passion into her full time focus.

 Having held the position of National Program Officer for the United Nations Population Fund in Muscat for over six years, Lamya brings with her a vast experience and knowledge in the fields of sustainable programming, women empowerment and gender equality, raising awareness for youth, as well as managing and fundraising for national programs and liaising with various stakeholders. She has also founded, as well as sat on, the boards of numerous charitable organizations in Oman.

 Lamya holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland

Clauss Niazi has joined Lamya bringing her expertise in the US application process having successfully helped many students apply to top US institutions.  Clauss has spent the past six years as a Director on the Board of ABA Oman International School and is currently an Advisor to the Board. 

Clauss has over 20 years of professional experience in Asia, Europe and North America in the areas of education, manufacturing and technology. Clauss taught English in Japan for a few years after University and prior to moving to Oman, she was with Capgemini and worked in strategy, finance and operations.

Clauss’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Languages and Linguistics with a minor in Business from Georgetown University and a Master of International Management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.
